Succesful Kick off Meeting

The Kick off Meeting of the project ENERBUILD held from the 21.09.09 - 23.09.09 in Kramsach in Tyrol was a big success. 55 Experts in the field of energy-efficient building concreted the contents which laid the foundation for a proper project. In particular, the fields of training, energy-efficient building research, ecological construction in the public sector and energy production in buildings could be developed much further.

For the Kick off Meeting Project Partners, Experts and JTS-Representatives from the regions of Vorarlberg, Tyrol, Styria, Bavaria, South Tyrol, Piemonte, Trento and Alessandria, the French province of Rhone-Alpes, Switzerland and Slovenia traveled to Kramsach in Tyrol. On the first day of the Kick off Meeting (21.09.09) SG-Members and Contact Persons defined the formal framework, the contents of the project homepage, the I&P Strategy and prepared the intensive workshops for the next day. Representatives of the project Alphouse (Dr. Karlheinz Valtl, Mr. Max Stadler, Mrs. Katharina Hein) provided the participants with an excellent overview about their project which is focused on renovation of old buildings. Their target is to strengthen the competitiveness of regional SMEs by providing them with the knowledge, skills and tools for top-quality renovations of old Alpine buildings. Target groups are craft enterprises, architects/planners and policy makers.

On the second day of the Kick off Meeting (22.09.09) the expert workshops were held. More than 50 Experts brought in their inputs and knowledge. Because of the number of involved persons the different workshops were held in parallel sessions. The work groups were divided according the different work packages. After each work session the well prepared moderators (Norbert Gleirscher – WP 4, Erica Lavagno – WP 5, Markus Berchtold – WP 6 and Noemie Poize – WP 7) presented the intermediate results and informed all other participants about their progress. The parallel sessions enabled the workgroups to get a maximum of content concretisation. Many content related questions could be clarified in this fruitful an well prepared workshops. After the workshops the involved persons got the chance to establish personal contacts with the other project partners during a common dinner.

On the third day (23.09.09) the Project Steering Group summarized the results of the Expert Workshops, discussed an internal resolution which has to be signed after the subsidy contract is signed and agreed on upcoming events, timetables, budget shiftings, milestones, I&P Structure and  workflow. Mr. Küchler and Mr. Wibmer presented the Network NENA and highlighted, that all ENERBUILD project partners should also become NENA members.

The good and fruitful Kick off Meeting closed with some comments of the LP, who thanked all Project partners, Experts and the Representative of the JTS, Mrs. Stoka, for their participation and cooperation, all WPR for their hard work during and before the WP-seminars and PP NENA for the organisation of the event. In summary it really was a disciplined and busy meeting, which results brought on the project ENERBUILD more than only one step!
