Education
CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROJECT'S MAIN OBJECTIVES:
WP4 facilitates know-how transfer and training of human resources through specialized courses, vocational trainings, excursions and the provision of teaching material. The “Education Team” works on training modules. The main objective is to continually develop the human resources of SMEs and support them to maintain their leadership in the building sector. The activities create an appropriate environment for the development and foster stable cooperation between R&TD centres and SMEs.
LINKAGE TO OTHER WP:
WP4 summarises the results of WP 5, 6, 7 and 8. Different training institutions in several countries will get an updated state of science which enables the persons responsible to point out missing contents in the field of education and gives them the possibility to close these gaps. This will lead to a more effective research work. The results will also be used in WP3 for publication issues. The preparation of education modules combined with best practice excursions is also an important input for WP3.
ACTIONS WITHIN THIS WP:
Action 4.1: Assessment of training needs and the potentials for transnational know-how transfer
Action 4.2: Preparation and realization of trainings for apprentices - basic education
Action 4.3: Education modules handcrafts and high technical school levels
Action 4.4: Education modules for academics, graduated education
EXPECTED OUTPUTS:
4.1 The results of the transnational “Education Team” are 15 modules for professional education and training (apprentices 3, craftsmen 8, academics 4).
4.2 The apprentices modules will be implemented in 7 regions,
4.3 the modules for constructor training in 7 regions (Vorarlberg, Bolzano, Tyrol, Styria, Gorika region, Lyon and Grenoble). These education modules are also used for seminars.
4.4 The modules for academics will be offered to 4 regions (universities in Innsbruck, Bolzano and Central Switzerland respectively the high technical school in Rosenheim). The developed content material for workshops, excursions and events will be used in pilot actions and in WP3.
DETAILED ACTIVITIES OF SINGLE PP:
4.1: The “Education Team” consisting of 9PPs (LP, PP1, PP2, PP3, PP4, PP5, PP6, PP7, PP8, PP9) builds a workgroup including craftsmen, trade school teachers, experts and researchers from universities. They evaluate educational requirements in the field of ESAP buildings in order to complement existing training modules. The assessment work refers to three levels: 1.apprentices - basic education, 2. Handcrafts and high technical school level, 3. academics, graduated education.
4.2: Under the lead of PP7 the Team will develop transnational training programmes, modules and prepare their implementation. The PPs are responsible for carrying out these modules for the basic education of apprentices as pilot implementations in their regions.
The LP, PP1, PP3, PP6, PP7, PP8 and PP9 implement the modules in trainings like ”Young craftsmen-weeks”. The cross sectoral approach is shown by the involvement of different professions like bricklayers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians etc. and should launch co-operations.
4.3: The work group (LP, PP1, PP2 PP3, PP5, PP6, PP7, PP8, PP9) gathers studying material and works out examination questions. This knowledge transfer gives the possibility to get in touch with companies. Target group for this action are vocational schools and providers of further education. PP9 addresses the training units to the “Collegio Costruttori”, the LP cooperates with locals schools in Rankweil; PP2 cooperates with training centres like INEED or AFPA.
4.4: Researchers analyse the current state of science and technology in comparison to the existing offers in the professional education. Their work is important for the dissemination of knowledge on university level. Researchers from LP, PP1, PP4, PP7, PP8, PP10, NMS1 form a team which makes suggestions concerning the contents of teaching. The Universities of Innsbruck, Bolzano, Kufstein and Roseneim will be involved. PP1 and PP10 form a connection to “CasaClima”, whereas an additional training (post graduate 2nd level) by staff of PP10 is offered. PP10 organises a meeting within the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Solarenergie” pooling professors who work in the field of renewable energy from over 80 German, Austrian and Swiss Universities.
